    Who are you people?

Rust Media is made up of a bunch of guys out of America’s Midwest. We have a sack full of opinions and aren’t afraid to use them. Everyone is thinking it, we’re just crazy enough to step up to the mic and say it. We are to the point that we think the nation needs to hear more from the people in the middle as we face different issues and have different opinions than those from the coasts. Most of us hail from Michigan, land of water, endless winters and crappy roads. But we have contacts everywhere and will be pulling in opinions from all over.

    Who is Dan Bjorklund?

Sometimes life is like that lamp from Ikea, sure it looks great in the catalog but nobody tells you that it comes in a box that could give maroccas a run. For the past 30 some years Dan Bjorklund has living by that little line of advice "some assembly required"

Dan may claim to hate his fellow man but truth be told he leans towards a more social responsible future and works towards that goal in everything he does. Seldom serious in his responses and with a habit of using analogies to explain things Dan may seem the implacable joker, yet when needed he can be quite serious. Despite a dislike of being a grownup Dan finds himself often stepping into the role and using his humor and experiences to keep things on track.

Dan is right at home behind a camera or the console of computer, be it electronic, mechanical or social in nature he's not afraid to tear it down and rebuild it into something greater than it ever was.

    Who is Eric Hildebrant?

Eric (aka CaptAngryPants) is an opinionated type. He is in his early 30s now, married and father. Living a life that he didn't plan, but is enjoying it mostly. Eric is a tad bit tired though of seeing how others from large cities spout off opinions for the nation but have little clue how we in the less connected areas have to deal.

Eric is a geek. Eric has to deal with new tech on a normal basis. But Eric usually is in enviroments that do not allow for money to flow like water. Normally tech has to be carefully selected and mistakes are costly. Jumping on new techs usually just leads to failures and headaches, and he is tired of rarely hearing what tech really works a year after release in the middle of nowhere that is limited to tiny DSL lines for connection to the interwebs.

Eric though once he steps away from the daily geek issues, loves photography, enjoys a huge range of music, and loves well crafted stories. Eric is a gamer from consoles to PCs.
Mostly though, Eric loves to hack. Real hacking, the form of taking something and making it do something it wasn't directly meant to do.

What can you do for me?

The short answer is "We do the heavy lifting"
That answer being insufficient I'll expand upon it now..
Rustmedia.tv began as a way for a few guys to get their message out, be it by way of blogging, podcasting or other mediums. While working towards this end, which by the way is a never ending process, we learned from others that they too have a message to spread and not sure how to go about doing it. That is where we can help. We believe strongly in community and that to be successful in today's economy we need to work together and engage each other in positive conversations of where we are and how we're getting to were we're going.

    So your a marketing company?

No, Rustmedia.tv is not a marketing company, while some of us have worked in marketing and understand it thats not what we do. We can be creative but our real talent is in the technical nuts and bolts of making it all just work. Sure we're willing to give an opinion or two on a marketing campaign but we feel there are others better suited and we know a few you can talk with if your looking for Ad men..
