Newspapers and the future.

Posted on 4th May 2009 in Rants, Raves and Opinions

So today, I am reading tons about how new larger format electronic reader are coming and how they could save the newspaper industry, etc, etc, etc…..

I am not going  on about that so much for the tech at least.  But here is my take on how a newspaper could become more valuable to me. Click here to read more.. »

WTF?: Internet nicknames in real life.

Posted on 4th May 2009 in Rants, Raves and Opinions, WTF

Ok so I have a pretty wacky handle on the interwebs here.  CaptAngryPants.

Why?  It was more given to me really.  I had a coworker once that was fond of saying “Do it up Captian” or similar just referring to people as Captain.  Nothing really odd, I know.  But in this same group of coworkers, it was common to ask me if I had my Angry Pants on that day.  I can be a surly cuss at times. No upgrade from XP with Win 7?

Posted on 4th May 2009 in Rants, Raves and Opinions

So this started a couple days ago within my circle of friends, one of them heard that there was not going to be an upgrade path from XP to Win 7.  Most of them started to say how this was stupid of Microsoft and how it was just going to piss off more people after the Vista issues.

It’s simple, the popular people follow rules and when done right they reap the benefits of “Hey look at this guy, did you see what he just said?”

Posted on 9th March 2009 in Rants, Raves and Opinions

Greetings all. As a brief intro, my name is Andy, and unlike the other Rusties, I’m from Central New York rather than the upper Midwest. The snowfall is pretty much the same, but the state isn’t in the shape of a mitten. No, Central New York is not anywhere near the city. The city is about four hours down. I’m a sports/video game geek, and I thought that there would be no better way to start my rantings by ranting about… a sports video game.

Twitter’s suggested user list or Twitter’s revenue stream source finally?

Posted on 23rd February 2009 in Rants, Raves and Opinions

The concept can be a good idea for new users to Twitter but then again maybe not. I asked the question when I signed up “Outside of my friends, who should I follow”. I received a huge number of responses from the people I knew out in the real world and all of the suggested people to follow were top notch, plus I picked up a few others that have been suggested by someone I had starting following through a previous suggestion.
